Data We Collect
CSG collects minimal user data. If you create an account, we store your email address and name. We also use analytics — our own first-party analytics and Google Analytics — to understand how the site is used (see “Analytics & Usage Data” below). We do not sell personal data to third parties.
How We Use Your Data
Account information is used solely for authentication and platform personalization. Analytics data is used to improve our service and understand content preferences. Contact form submissions are stored securely and used only to respond to your inquiry.
Analytics & Usage Data
We use two analytics systems to understand how visitors use the site.
First-party analytics (our own): When you visit, we record the pages you view, the time of your visit, the website or source that referred you, and your approximate country. Your country is derived from your IP address at the moment of your visit; we do not store your IP address itself, and this data is not linked to your name, email, or account.
Google Analytics 4 (third-party): We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to measure site traffic and usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This information is processed by Google on our behalf; Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for hosting, infrastructure, and analytics (Google Analytics — see “Analytics & Usage Data” above). These services have their own privacy policies. We select partners who demonstrate strong data protection practices, and we do not sell your personal data.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Cookies
We use an essential cookie for authentication when you log in. We also use a single, non-identifying first-party cookie to group your page views into a visit for our own analytics; it contains a random identifier only and is not tied to your identity. In addition, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and measure usage; these are set only after you accept cookies via the banner on the site. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are not set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
